Seesaw

Seesaw

To assist our interactive and collaborative learning across the Point of Ayr Federation, we have adopted the use of Seesaw at our school.

Seesaw is a student-driven digital portfolio where children are empowered to create, reflect, share, and collaborate. It gives families a window into what's going on every day in their child's classroom. Students add posts to their journals showcasing the creative projects they've been working on in the classroom. This could include photos, artwork, videos, activities, notes, projects they've created in other apps, and more.

Each class has readily embraced Seesaw! The children are learning the importance of, and understanding that, what is published onto Seesaw, remains on Seesaw and is viewable by all in their class. This has already lead on to fantastic conversations about being responsible users, and about posting only comments that are sensible, positive and encouraging.

At the Point of Ayr Federation we use Seesaw throughout the school to create an individual portfolio of your child's learning. Your child will add work to Seesaw to share their learning with you. You will be able to like the posts and comment on your child's work.

The teacher, headteacher and school office will use Seesaw to send important messages and reminders. When there are new posts or messages, you'll be notified and can see what's new!

Seesaw is private and you will only see posts created by your child.
