School Development Plan Summary 23/24
During this academic year of 2023 - 2024 at the Point of Ayr Federation we
will be focussing on the following priorities:

1 | 1a - To improve the teaching and learning environment and skills for pupils from 3-8. |
1b - Improve teaching and learning across the Federation to positively impact on pupils’ progress and learning. | |
2 | Continue to improve standards of writing for all pupils across the Federation, through the development of planning and provision. |
3 | To ensure opportunities for learners to apply numeracy skills in Mathematics lessons and within Numeracy across the curriculum. |
4 | Continue to support the development and progression of pupils' oracy skills in Welsh. |
Academic Year 2022 - 2023
School Development Plan Summary
During this academic year of 2022 - 2023 at the Point of Ayr Federation we
will be focussing on the following priorities:
- To improve standards of writing for all pupils across the federation, through the development of planning and provision
- To improve standards in numerical reasoning and problem solving for all pupils through extended opportunities for numeracy across the curriculum
- To further develop positive attitudes to learning and pupil engagement through the continued development of teaching, learning and pedagogy across the Federation
- To develop the use of Metacognition throughout the Federation to enhance learning
- To embed clear systems for identifying, capturing and reflecting upon learner progress and challenge.
